This is an example of a replica made in two different factories, using totally different movements. In one case the manual-wind Lemania-copy (or more correctly, Venus-copy) movement is used. In the other watch an Asian-made clone of the ETA 7750 movement is visible through the exhibition back (note the rotor visible in the second group of photos.

Replica ROLEX Red Submariner |

The "Red" Submariner is an example of a rare watch that has been duplicated by the replica makers. Commonly they will use a standard modern-day replica Submariner case and simply add an "aged" (yellowed) dial and call it a day. The example below is indicative of the common vintage fake Rolex Submariner. Unfortunately there are some VERY convincing replicas on the market, that use the correct case, bezel, and even use OEM acrylic crystals. As with any expensive purchase, "buy the seller" when deciding to pick up a rare watch. |

There are several clues to look for, including dial printing and weight of the watch. The example below is quite accurate, but for one detail: Rolex does not a two-toned Day-Date! |
