 Some replica manufacturers have updated the IWC F. A. Jones replica by using a decorated movement that emulates the appearance of the genuine watch. The movement is close enough to the original that it isn't apparent at first glance that there is a difference. The finish is still rougher than the genuine but many of the "clues" have been emulated, such as the screw layout and the long adjustment arm.
The dial quality on the replica IWC is still sub-par when compared to the $10,000 genuine article. Still, these changes make it even more difficult to spot this watch as a fake. Pictures of both movements (real and replica) are provided below.
