Replica Jaeger LeCoultre Master Compressor Memovox

Jaeger-LeCoultre (JLC) has had it easy up to this point. Most of the replicas of their watches were easily identified as fake because of the substandard materials and build quality. Genuine JLCs are built like tanks. Recent replicas, such as this Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor Memovox, improve greatly the quality of the fakes coming out of Asia.

This fake Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor Memovox has the correct case back, unlike most fake JLCs which simply fudge it. The dial and case quality are also of a higher standard than we're used to seeing.  A major flaw on this watch is the missing date window.  I haven't been able to find a genuine JLC Compressor that has no date wheel.  Please write in if you know of one that exists.  I've included two photos of a genuine JLC Master Compressor to compare to the fake watch.

I'm going to get my hands on an example of this watch for a closer examination. Meanwhile be wary of any "deals" on JLC Compressors on eBay...
