One of the most sought after watches in the replica watch community has been an accurate copy the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak. Replica manufacturers have for years produced copies of this famous brand with less than stellar results. They've always been lacking in a variety of areas: poor metals, inaccurate case sizes, poor dials, quartz movements instead of automatic, terrible case engraving (misspellings).

The Audemars Piguet End of Days is a limited edition version of the venerable Royal Oak Offshore, made to order for Arnold Schwartzeneger for the movie of the same name. Coated with PVD and bearing distinct yellow hands and a vinyl strap, the End of Days (or EOD) is quite celebrated and can be found selling for over $40,000 for good examples. Recently MBW (Marie's Best Watch), a high-end replica manufacturer, has begun producing examples of this watch.

Rose Gold replicas, such as this fake Audemars Piguet Jules Audemars, are quite common. The "Rose" gold tone is actually replicated by other metallic substances, hence it's cheap to manufacture. Most of the gold plated replica watches being made today are so-called "Rose Gold".

This AP Jules Audemars replica is very detailed, but has several glaring flaws. The dial printing is crisp, but inaccurate, as is the dial texture. Also, the display back shows a very plain movement; not the model used by Audemars Piguet. And as with most gold plated watches the case features are muted because of the coating.

Replica Audemars Piguet Royal Oak have been around for awhile. The quality of the examples out there today has improved dramatically. Still, several obvious flaws exist even on this late-2005 fake Royal Oak, the most obvious being the exhibition case back showing the incorrect ETA movement.
